Possible loss of channels

For those who don't check TV listings on My Verizon, I noticed the following message today.

Note to FiOS TV Subscribers

Unfortunately, Sinclair Broadcasting is threatening to temporarily remove stations from Verizon’s FiOS customers because we will not give in to Sinclair’s demands for an unreasonable rate increase. As soon as Jan. 1, Sinclair could refuse to allow Verizon access to WRLH-My Network (Channel 10), WRLH-FOX (Channels 11, 511 & 480) and WTVZ-My Network (Channels 11, 511, 466 & 480). We hope that Sinclair will change its approach and negotiate with us for rates and terms that are in our viewers’ best interest and ensure our customers receive the television service and content they have come to expect. We will post updates to the FiOS TV Message Center if necessary. Thank you

Sinclair is in a number of markets.  But NYC is one of them.  They have regularly gotten into arguments with the various Cable and Satellite companies over price increases.

Sinclair is in western NY (Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo), they're not in NYC.
