Verizon your programming guide errors are FRUSTRATING!!! Recordings of series or one-time shows are being missed because of inaccurate information in the guide. PLEASE FIX the guide and display ACCURATE program information. What good is having DVR capability and NOT being able to record the programs I choose?  Smiley Frustrated

Inaccurate info in the guide has been a problem for about FIVE LONG YEARS. There are numerous posts in the forums, however Verizon chooses to ignore them. They use a lame, poorly run company in Texas. I think Verizon may be their only client. We all need to call the president of Verizon DAILY!!!!!

Which channel have you recently had troubles with?

Was it a channel between 350 and 388?  Many of these seem to be cross connected, so the guide is correct for one channel but the other 4 channels it's replicated on are wrong.

Verizon is not the only client of fyi television who is located in grand prairie texas which is the company that is responsible for the guide data. Fyi television does the guide of at&t and a mexican cable company where i looked at the forums of at&t and that mexican cable company where they hate fyi television too. So fyi is not only screwing up two american tv provider's guides they are messing up a mexican one too! Fyi television is responsible for a online guide data provider website called titan tv where that too is often wrong. If you were to go to the titan tv website to try to find some accurate guide data on there it would be no different than pulling up the guide from your set top box which is always wrong. People do not  bother to pull up the fios guide anymore because of how bad it is where instead they rely on online guide provider websites like zap 2 it, tv guide or locate tv. Zap 2 it is the best because they have tribune media as their provider of information and tribune media is widely regarded as being the best provider of guide information in america. They do the guides of comcast, cablevision, cox cable, time warner, dish network, direct tv and zap 2 it. The guide data is so bad that it is unusable so people wisely do not even rely on it because they believe that verizon could care less about the problems that exist even though they have teams in place who can correct the problems. Now i will not go into too much of it on here but if you were to take a look at the guide you will see the saturday morning lineup for cnn on sunday morning where at 8am on sunday it indicates that it is the saturday morning show and the doctor show before it does not match either. Channel 1507 supercanal has been off by a hour all year long. What the guide lists as being on a hour from now is what is playing right now on channel 1507 where people are paying for access to that channel but nothing matches. There are more profound issues where movies have no descriptions, no casts and no names for the movies where there is just a blank space on the guide. The problem is with the guide provider where they are being provided with the correct information but their software is throwing off the data that has been given to them. I have spoken to many channels and had them send out their correct schedules to verizon where i cut out the middle man which is fyi where many of the channels who are local, national and international channels are so angry at verizon's guide provider that when it comes time to renew their contracts with verizon to keep the channels on the guide they will not renew it because of verizon's guide provider who has made it virtually impossible to watch their content because of how bad the guide data is. So the next time there is a dispute between verizon and a channel people need to realize that there is no point for a channel to renew a contract with a tv provider if their guide provider can not correctly put up the informatiion that is being given to them.

Interesting--I never heard of fyi television before.

Though I wonder if some of this problem was actually the cross-connected channel problem that I complained about in a different thread.  It seems to have been fixed.

The guide has been inaccurate on several  channels.  Getting to be very frustrating.  Messing up my recordings.  Need to change your supplier of guide info or make them improve their service, fast.  It is getting to the point where I am considering a change.

It's not just several channels, it happens to almost all channels at one time or another. And it's never going to be fixed, Verizon does not care, they have proven that. I subscribed back in June of 2008 and it's been like this since day one for me. I love FiOS but this is one of the HUGE negatives.

If anyone needs proof of how screwed up the guide is, last week the "cast" of Saturday Night Live included John Belushi, Phil Hartman, Chris Farley and Eddy Murphy.  Wonder what happened to Billy Crystal.
