I purchased Mickey's Twice upon a Christmas last year through on demand. When I go to my library this year it is not listed any longer.
I have instituted a house wide ban on physical media and if on demand is not permanent then my whole strategy is blown.
Anyone else have purchases seemingly expire?

Not with Verizon but had some movies on Ultraviolet. But then Sony dropped the connecting provider (CinemaNow) from their TVs and BD players. While the movies aren't "lost". I can only view them now on a computer. Since I am not one of those people who would watch a movie on a computer or phone, those films are pretty much useless for me now.
In addition, the superior picture quality of BDs (1080p instead of the 1080i of FIOS) and the lossless audio found only on disc make physical media the only high-quality movie option available. Plus, FIOS movies are usually cropped so that you lose anywhere from 25% - 40% of the actual picture! Disct is still (and will remain) the only TRUE ownership option for movies. Anything else is nice as an ancillary, I suppose. Streaming and/or digital downloads are ok for a one-time rental, but they are not even close as a substitute for physical discs. And if you feel you just can't live without a digital copy, the BDs usually contain those as well. And if something happens where the movie lost or inaccessible, you still have top-tier HD copies. So yes...I'd rethink your "strategy." since physical media is a "win-win" situation,

No solution yet. Was on the phone with Verizon for 1.5 hours with no resolution. Had I known it would be that long I would have simply re-purchased the movies.
To me superior quality doesn't matter with Mickey's twice upon a Christmas. It's all about not having scratched disks any longer.
