Not too long ago, we started to notice that the actors' names come up in the first (and sometimes wrap into the second) line of the brief info description. Since the brief description is so short on space, having all the main actors' names listed before the description of the episode (in the case of tv shows) is a waste of space and forces you to have to go into the full description just to get enough information about the episode to determine if you've seen it before or if you want to see it now. Can't the actors' names be relegated to the full info screen instead?

I haven't followed this issue at all closely, but this is what I've observed: for every complaint that actors names should show up at a particular location in the listings, there's a corresponding complaint that they shouldn't (e.g., yours). In other words, this issue is unlikely to be resolved to the satisfaction of everyone any time soon.
Further, since it appears that Verizon merely buys schedule and listing services from a third party (I'm not sure how this works and less interested to find out), there's nothing that Verizon could do, even if they wanted to.
Bad news perhaps, but life is like that from time to time. Sorry to be the mailman on this one.

As Armond pointed out, different users like different things. I am one of those who want the actor's names readily visible.
