SEC Network will be a channel with ESPN. It will broadcast athletic and other events from all the conference schools.

Verizon seems to be ignoring that it is the largest provider across Texas, that this will the the largest conference network in the nation, and it will generate the largest amount of subscribers across the nation. At the same time it continues to carry a flop of a network that has horrible ratings that only a couple of providers carry.

Wake up Verizon. I have had Verizon for nearly 30 years but that will change if you do not pick it up.

The SEC channel has crap games just like the Longhorn network but with more games.  The SEC channel will ONLY carry all the rejected games by ESPN, ABC, CBS, ESPN2, EPSNU.  One big name SEC team playing a cup cake?  How is that "largest amount of subscribers across the nation".    I suspect more people will watch the national YES Network that doesn't carry live games outside of the NYC TV markets.

I don't think all these posters realize two SEC teams playing another will NOT be on the SEC Network.  Any decent game will be snatched up my ABC, CBS, or ESPN/2/.U.  You will see Nicholls State at Arkansas!

Look at the REAL list:

All the games are crAp: http://www.fbschedules.com/2014/05/sec-network-football-schedule-first-four-weeks-2014-season/

I, like many others will move to DISH for the SECN.  I'm sure DirecTV, VZ, and TWC will jump on board eventually, but it might be too late for this year.

The reality is....  It is not about JUST the games.  The SEC is not only a conference- IT'S A RELIGION!  It doesn't matter to a true SEC fan whether you are playing crap teams like Ohio State or Lousiana Tech. You are playing.  We LOVE our teams in games and watching/reading about the teams.  So yes, if verizon doesn't get the channel I will go to a carrier that will.  I'm a booster so I'm not too concerned about any type of cancellation fee.  I just want to see stories and games related to the SEC only!

Comcast is working out final details.  I'm a little concerned about the lack of news about Verizon reaching a deal.  I'm giving them until the end of July.

The die hard fans want to see the "crap" games. I'm a Kentucky fan and about the only wins in football are against the "crap" teams. Also l ike to see every game in basketball. I hope Verizon signs on or I'll be leaving after my contract is up.

Need some info Verizon! What the heck is going on? The channel launches in August and we haven't heard a single thing about negotiations. I know many are looking to other providers and with Comcast available at my house as well as DirecTV I am switching if it's not available. I am a HUGE Gators fan and missing half their games on TV because you refuse to carry the channel is unacceptable.

Make it happen, give us some info!

Verizon will not add the SEC Channel because they do not value college sports programming.  Verizon has not added the PAC 12 Network since its inception.  Verizon has completely ignored their customers and college sports fans in the PAC 12 states in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.  Verizon does not value college sports programming.  They will only reconsider their position if they lose a substantial amount of customers.  I am leaving Verizon at the end of my contract period in February 2014.  I don't want to do this because I do enjoy other parts of Verizon's service, but enough is enough.

Well if there is in fact no Verizon moderator that read this that is sad. I've single-handedly convinced 10 of my friends over the years to move to FIOS. It's a great service. Again, t-minus 22 days to give us a status on the SEC Network or a 7-8-year customer of FIOS TV will be moving to Dish.

If you a Verizon retention rep reading this, please send this along., I believe you will see thousands of subscribers cancel on Aug 1st. I will be one of them.

Are you serious? Dish?  They are missing all 5 of my regional sports networks.  You might want to check which games they cover before you switch to Dish.  I would LOOSE far more college football games switching to Dish (No MSG, MGS+, MSG2, SNY, YES) then staying with Verizon (No SEC Chhanel)
