I'm sorry if you have to watch college games on MSG, MGS+, MSG2, SNY, YES. All I care about are ABC, CBS, ESPNs and the SEC Network.... Those channels alone will fill up my Saturday with quality college football games each weekend.
In any case, here is a promising sign:
http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/07/09/sec-network-on-pace-for-solid-debut/
This posting announcing Cox signing up for the SEC Network but does include this tidbit:
The SEC Network is currently scheduled to be available to customers of Dish Network, Google Fiber, AT&T U-Verse and assorted smaller carriage providers throughout the region (Comcast is not a done deal yet, but expected to be finalized before launch; Verizon FIOS should not be far behind either). The SEC Network still has to get by the DirecTV hurdle, but there is still time to sort out that one.
19 days Verizon until I switch to Dish!

This is my point also...... it's not just about the games..... There will be a pre-game show on Saturday mornings, wrap up shows during the week, and preview shows during the week. This channel will be on all the time at my house. #secFBlife

That article is GREAT news if true, I wonder where the author is getting his information from? This is the first time I have read anything saying fios was getting the SEC Network.

@iy3 wrote:Well if there is in fact no Verizon moderator that read this that is sad. I've single-handedly convinced 10 of my friends over the years to move to FIOS. It's a great service. Again, t-minus 22 days to give us a status on the SEC Network or a 7-8-year customer of FIOS TV will be moving to Dish.
If you a Verizon retention rep reading this, please send this along., I believe you will see thousands of subscribers cancel on Aug 1st. I will be one of them.
This is a peer to peer forum, no verizon reps are reading these.

@LSUFan wrote:I know that Virginia and the other northern states puts about much emphasis on college football as they do college lacrosse,
First, Virginia is not a northern state. You are probably confusing us with our heathen brethren to the west.
Second, please don't confuse the entire state for Thomas Jefferson's mistake in Charlottesville.
But I too (even as a Hokie fan), would like to get the SEC Network on Verizon, just because I hate not having access to football games.

I have been a loyal Fios User but will switch to Comcast if you do not add the SEC Network.

Verizon FiOS needs to get with the program and add the SEC Network. I've read the posts from other customers and I am right there with you! I will NOT be paying Verizon $130+ for another Game Day package when everything I want to watch involves the SEC. I've been with Verizon for 15+ years, but I will not hesitate to make the switch if they don't come through with the SEC Network!
The article that's sited is hopeful but, unfortunately, if you read the posts further down in the article, the author of the article posts: "Apparently I had some bad information. Comcast and Verizon FIOS not officially on yet, but should be coming."
I was told by a Verizon rep. on the chat that these posts were, in fact, monitored by Verizon. I hope that's true.

Hello Verizon,
Is anybody monitoring this forum?
Your customer's, at least for the time being, really need to know if you plan to carry the SEC Network. You're getting very close to the point where your customer's are going to start leaving rather than rolling the dice.
Sign the Deal !!!!!

Again, these are Peer to Peer forums, with the exception of the moderator Verizon is not reading these posts.
And Verizon will NEVER and I do mean NEVER comment on whether a channel is being considered or not.
