Well if Verizon won't comment, let me.........

I have read a couple of posts here and there that Verizon has quoted people termination fees.  If Verizon can not

provide the SEC Network to its customers, while they carry the BigTen and Texas networks.  I suggest we all jump ship, refuse to pay any termination fees {please keep it relevant} to it customers.  Just a thought.

There has been quite a build up to gain access to the new SEC Network through Verizon programming, but yet Verizon

will not comment, nor will they even pretend to listen to their customers wishes.   Tnis is just another example, remember COMCAST, of a company growwing to big to care anymore about its customers.  If they do not sign the SEC Network, Verizon wil FAIL!!!

Any updates at all on this?

I think it is pretty pathetic for Verizon to not communicate at least SOMETHING to their customers on whether the channel will be added. They are taking quite the risk in losing customers, as I know many who have already dropped them in my area and went to Uverse and Dish...but I am playing the waiting game until August 1st, then I too will switch.

Either make a press release noting talks are in order...or come out and say it isn't being added.

At this point, most can only assume the channel isn't being added with zero news floating around the internet.

I'm a former Fios TV customer. I left for DirecTV almost exaclty two years ago but kept Fios internet. I'd be more than willing to come back to Fios TV for SEC Network. But rumors are swirling today (after the Comcast announcement) that DTV is close to deal with SEC Network. If Verizon gets in the next 14 days, I will still switch back. For the most part, DTV has been fine but I do have my gripes (i.e. escalated price after promo expires, lack of service during rain storms, and no ESPN/Disney network app access). These reasons are enough to want me to come back but SECN will be the deciding factor.

How do we contact (or how do we contact) Verizon to ask them to carry SEC Network?  I've called the 800# (I know now you can stop laughing) and  I've submitted forms from the SEC Network website.  The Contact Us is also useless.

If they can carry the freaking Longhorn Network they had better step up and carry SEC Network.  In their negotiations with SEC they must be trying to make up for all the money they lost carrying the LHN (or TLN however it is referred to).

(At this point the sports bar to watch SEC football might be a whole lot easier than dealing with Verizon.)

Fios is good but they are not the only game in town.

FWIW, I called the 800 # and the lady I spoke with had not even heard of the SEC Network. I asked if they were planning on offering it-she said "let me check with my sources" and put me on hold for a minute. She came back and said that yes, she thinks they will offer it but it will be August before they make an announcement.

Who knows if she actually knew what she was talking about

Dear FIOS - it's time to join the rest of the civilized world and make an announcement proclaiming that the SEC network will be offered.  And that it will be available prior to August 28.
Some token acknowledgement could go al long way to settling the apprehensions of your football watching subscribers.

Or the policy of 'no comment' could continue and those fortunate enough to be out from under the 2-year service obligation can continue to make plans to jump ship.  I am not one of those. Still a year+ left on current contract agreement, so I'm yours regardless for this season.

Please let us know what FIOS is thinking/planning so we can plan accordingly.

Thanks,
Kevin

Dear FiOS,

During college football season you already offer umpteen channels which broadcast hundreds upon hundreds of meaningless college football games. If you're going to add yet another channel, focussing on the cast-off games that aren't good enough for national networks, please make sure you add it as a seperate channel for which people can choose to pay to subscribe, instead of tacking on yet another RSN fee to the majority of your customers that could care less about the dregs of the SEC.

Thank you,

Sangs
