Satellite has always scared me off because of the whole not working on a cloudy day thing. The last thing I want is to be trying to record a football game and it's a cloudy day so I don't get a copy of it. Do you have a cable company in your area offering the SEC Network? In my area, Cox Cable has it.

SO if we are all switching from FIOS to something else, who prefers Direct TV or DIsh as I need to move to one or the other..

I've had both in the past and I wouldnt even pay $2 a month to go back to either. If you live in a place where it hardly rains and has great sky coverage for the dish then you wont have many issues, but if it rains a lot or you get dense cloud cover good luck watching anything.
dish was worse then directv for me. Everytime it rained signal went out. Directv only went out with the thick clouds.

Just a reminder, folks, that this is a peer to peer support forum for discussions of Verizon products and services, and we ask that you stay on those topics. Thanks.

But this is a discussion about a service that many subscribers would like. And since its unavailable to them, they are discussing options to obtain the service.

As soon as I receive the boxes to return the equipment, I'll jump to TWC.

Maybe if Verizon would let their customers know if they were going to offer the SEC Networkke EVERY other provider has this discussion wouldn't even be happening?? By not commenting Verizon is only adding to the conversations.

It's frustrating for any college football fan...say what you want about a particular conference, but the SEC NETWORK will broadcast some of the best games of the year... This void in the Verizon lineup is unacceptable.

Obviously negotiations aren't going well or are no longer happening. If there was a likelihood of the SEC Network coming to Verizon soon, they'd be making some type of announcement to keep people from looking at other providers. I take the silience as an indication they don't believe the network is important to their customers.
I've always been happy with Fios, but I'll be canceling my service next week and moving to a new provider.
