I thought that the FCC just ruled that Time Warner is not allowed to block the broadcasting of the games . I was promised the capability to see all SU games when I signedthe contract. How deceptive and misleading. I am very upset and UNIMPRESSED with FIOS so far.
I just found out from my friend at Verizon that Verizon is required to black out the SU games that are run on SNY (sportsnet New York) in the Buffalo and Central NY areas. Its not by choice. They are under contractual obligation to black out those games on that channel. The work around that is currently being used by some people (listed earlier) was not known by Verizon until it was posted on this board. Now that they are aware of it, they are working on closing it. Enjoy it while it lasts.
I had the same issues with getting game.
The only other way to get these games is to pay 16$ on the ESPN PPV.
If your a SU Basketball Fan, that increse in cost makes TWCNY the place to be.
When it come time to sign up again for verizon (All services) I'm going back to TWCNY.
