I signed up for the triple play back in December for two years, HD ultimate. I received an E-mail yesterday that all of my Music channels 1800 to 1845 will be gone unless I pay another $35 a month!!
I called up and Verizon says our provider is changing their plan. I indicated I signed a two year contract with Verison and I can care less about their provider isssues.
So what are my options? Anybody else dealing with this **bleep**?
Thanks

Are you under a business account? No one else has received this letter or email. It seems hard to believe they would charge $35 for those channels.

Residential Account.
I spoke to a Verizon person yesterday about this.
She said that on or shortly after March 31st Music channels will be removed from my account and if I want them back the cost is $35 a month for all 45 music channels.
She said that the "provider" is changing things not Verizon. Just love that!

Odd that more of us haven't reported receiving any message about a change to the Music Channels.
Certainly not worth $35 a month. I Normally use other free webcasts and Pandora. My Denon AV receiver has a service which includes many, many webcasts from around the world

I am not trying to be funny or accusatory, but are you sure you're a "residential" customer? I belong to a couple of other Verizon Forums (dslreports, etc.) and absolutely nobody has mentioned anything about a Music Choice rate increase (or service change) in any of those forums. Whenever anything is going on with FiOS I usually hear about it first there. And as I mentioned earlier I have not received any any notice/email of this nature about Music Choice.

I wouldn't assume because you or others may not have receive notice as an indication that this isn't possible. For example, I have yet to receive any notice from Verizon about the removal of the Bridge TV & Funimation channels like many other customers. Verizon is dropping the ball with exisiting customers and their own customer service reps based on conversations I had with them. I'm not sure if it is conscious tatic or effort of not informing exisiting customers of programming changes. But it seems to be an ongoing issue by just the posts you see on this forum.

$35 are you kidding me? I would'nt pay 10 cents for these channels as with the radio widget they no longer are needed.
Just use the music widgets and be done with it..

BTW I see they are owned by Music Choice which was founded by Comcast and TWC. I guess they trying to take advantage of Verizon by making them pay more..

Are you sure this is Verizon you are communicating with? There have been many times where third party phishing scams have tried to extract customer information. I have asked for informatin in a private area, and I am waiting a response from Verizon. DO NOT provide any personal information by a phone number provided in an Email, or email any personal information.
