Sports Programming?

I am looking very hard at switching from DirecTV to Verizon FIOS, but I am concerned about the absence of several sports channels on FIOS, specifically the CSN and Fox Sports channels.  DirecTV offers 43 sports channels, but FIOS only lists three Fox channels (Central, Pacific, and Atlantic) and no CSN channels.  Does anyone know how may of the Fox Sports channels these three FIOS channels cover?  Or if there any plans for FIOS TV to offer any of the sports channels that they currently don't offer?

My wife, the sports fanatic in our family, might not be too happy if I did something that deprived her of her sports programming.

I'm in the DC/Mid Atlantic area and I get these RSNs:

CSN - 576

CSN+ - 575

MASN - 577

When MASN2 airs games, they show them on FiOS1 (501)

There is no regional sports network package with FiOS, if that's what you're asking. You'll get the RSNs in your area - such as SNY, YES, MSG in the NYC area - but unlike with D*, you cannot subscribe to the RSNs available in say, Florida. You'll still have ESPN, MLB, NFL, NHL, etc. networks though. I despise soccer, so I don't know what FiOS offers in that department, but I've seen a lot of soccer fans complaining that it's not enough. Hope that helps.

Sangs, yes that is sort of what I was looking for.  Do you know how the local RSNs are listed on the Fios channel list?  I didn't see anything that looked like it might be MASN or something else local in the mid-Atlantic area.

Mine (HD versions) are located in the mid-500s on the channel guide. They're simply listed as SNY, YES, MSG, MSG+. I'm not sure how it applies to your area though.

SNY, YES, MSG channels, are RSN for me but no CSN related content standalone channels part of my lineup also HD content for sports would be nice to FCS ATL, CENT, PAC channels (300-302) , sportsman channel (308), FOX DEP(spanish)(311), GOLTV (313), LONGhorn network (320), we should have like 5 in HD for BTN channels now we only have to listed i dont get it (330-331), MSGplus2 (81)needed for HD, CBSSn (94). This is for NYC area ty for reading this fios personel.

JSS9669,

Thanks much.  I went back to the Verizon FIOS page and their channel list had been updated since I printed off the list 2 weeks ago.  I am out near Dulles so your response is particularly helpful.
