I was disappointed when I switched from Cox to FIOS & found that the Portuguese channel from New Bedford isn't included...
I don't expect a reply but I voicing my opinion...
It sure is nice that they setup this sticky thread and then no one from VZ ever bothers to make comments or even acknowledge which channels are in the works and likely to be added. The sales people sure are eager though to say "it'll be added this year!!! Sign up now!!"
Another Flyers game being missed tonight since VZ doesn't seem to care about adding The Comcast Network. I see lots of Caps fans in the same boat with CSN+ too.
We too will have no choice but to switch back to Comcast when we can. We're moving in a couple months, and I did check Fios available at our new location, and while it's available, so is Comcast.
How about some comments back from Verizon on this?
How about maybe putting together a new aggregated list of what's been requested, what's been added so far and what the time frame is for other channels??

That's because some of the concerns were already answered in previous posts. I am not affiliated with Verizon, but I kn ow that channels such as E!, STYLE, G4, and one or two others are scheduled to appear during the first quarter of 2010. Other channels (such as MSNBC) are tied up in legalities.
But it's also a bit unrealistic fpr those who wish for EVERY local sports channel ever conceived to be available (I keep waiting for someone to ask for a Little League channel). Same goes for every foreign channel. No offense meant to anyone, but if there was an Icelandic Channel out there, someone would be asking for it to be carried by FiOS. Sure, I'd like to have BBC-HD available. but there is more HD content than I can ever watch already available...enough that I can wait until it is. I can also wait for TCM-HD, because right now they aren't really showing anythinmg in HD at all!
While one certainly has the right to switch to Comcast,, I know I could not give up the superior HD picture quality, 120 HD channels and lower rates and go back to the bit-starved, Comcast broadcasts, with only 30 - 40 HD channels and all for a higher price than Verizon offers.
But to each their own, I guess.
FIOS NEEDS TO ADD THESE HD CHANNELS TO BE THE BEST PROVIDER IN THE UNITED STATES:
I LOVE Fios but am having a major problem with The Comcast Network NOT being on the system in Philly. Last night I missed a Flyers game against Montreal and next Monday will miss anotherone against Boston !! Something better happen soon or it's back to Comcast for me.!!! Comcast makes it clear on their website that THE COMCAST NETWORK is FREE to all providers....Call your provider to get it added!!
No CSN+ in Anne Arundel County.
And no one has any clue when I ask about it. Not that they even have a clue when I ask about my bill.
Worst customer service ever!
That's why I'm switching back to Comcast ASAP!!
ARGHHH !!!! I just switched to Fios from Direct TV yesterday. Had no idea that I would no longer be able to watch "OZ" or "Friday Night Lights" two of which are my favorite shows. Had I known, I would have stayed with Direct TV. This customer would be forever greateful if these 2 shows became available.
Would Kathleen like to chime in about BBC America HD, Cartoon Network, or any updates on these? I was told she reads this. I would just like an update. Thanks

I switched from DirectTV to Verizon FiOS earlier this year. I am very disappointed that Comcast Plus is not available in Howard County! The Caps are the most successful franchise in the DC/Baltimore area and missing so many games is inexcusable. Please add Comcast Plus to your lineup!!!
