"Based on what I read there, it sounds like it will be at least a year before it might be available to any other satellite or cable service (or FiOS)."
If we America survives as a country for another year then hopefully Verizon will offer The Blaze TV as part of their channel line-up.
I thought Glenn Beck mentioned during one of his radio broadcasts that while The Blaze TV is currently being offered as a part of a Dish subscriber's channel line-up in the future it would become an optional "pay for" channel.
{please keep it relevant}

Has it been clarified that DirectTV got the exclusive for a whole year? I remember there being news articles saying that they were already in discussions with other cable/satellite companies.
At any rate, I'd love to have it on FIOS. Since the audio is now being carried streaming for free (radio show and all tv shows) on both TheBlaze app and on I Heart Radio, I would still be able to at least listend to the show on my iPad and iPhone, and I'd save the monthly cost of subscribing to GBTV/TheBlazeTV. And if I wanted to watch the shows later on FIOS, I could just DVR.

I, too, would like to see The Blaze added to the FIOS lineup. I would even pay a fee similar to the Disney Family Movies channel.
As far as the political "slant" of the content, I challenge everyone to research for yourselves using reliable resources everything Glenn says with exception to things he says are his personal opinion. He created a personal research group to do in-depth research on all topics BEFORE he uses the material on the air. He then created The Blaze news web site using that group before leaving Fox. He is dedicated to the truth. He appears ultra-conservative because most of the other media is so liberal, especially MSNBC.

I would also love to see it on FiOS, maybe carrying it on the same level of service as Current TV. It sounds like a similar channel to Current, just from the other end of the political spectrum.

The Ultra Conservative was just a jab at you because you like Glenn Beck. We should have The Blaze TV. Fair and Balances in television programming to say the least.

Instead of adding another useless talking head like Glenn Beck to counter balance the unwatched Current TV channel I'd rather see them just drop Current TV. Nobody watches it anyway just like very few people (except for the zealots) would watch Blaze TV.
Sorry, but I have no interest in watching (and really PAYING FOR) ANY left and right wing crybabyfest channels.

To each his own. I've actually seen some well made and interesting documentaries on CurrentTV.
