Audience Demand to Get TV Providers to Carry TheBlaze ‘Largest We’ve Seen’ in Decade, Marketing Chief Says
Audience demand for their TV providers to add TheBlaze TV to their channel lineup is at a tremendous level just a few days into the “Get TheBlaze” campaign, according to the marketing company overseeing the push.
TheBlaze audience has put in 105,565 minutes — about 1,700 hours — on the phone with their distributors since the grassroots campaign launched Monday. That’s the equivalent of viewing 491 Oscar telecasts. In the first days of the campaign, TheBlaze received more than 200,000 inquiries via email, a telephone hotline and its GetTheBlaze.com web site.
“The support for Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze has been the largest we’ve seen for a new network in 10 years,” K2 Marketing CEO Bill Faunce said in a statement. K2 Marketing logs the amount of phone time on 1-800-996-2529, which connects people with their TV providers.
TheBlaze TV is currently only available online or through satellite TV provider Dish Network, but “Get TheBlaze” is seeking to directly connect the audience with their distributors so they can ask that TheBlaze be added.
On Facebook, users have inundated DirecTV’s page with comments demanding TheBlaze. In just one day, DirecTV went from replying that it had “no plans to add” TheBlaze to having “every intention of evaluating” customer interest.
Darris Gringeri, vice president of public relations at DirecTV, did not immediately respond to a request for comment about their future plans to offer TheBlaze.
Dozens of users have similarly taken to Time Warner Cable’s and Comcast Xfinity’s Facebook pages requesting the network as well.
Maureen Huff, vice president of public relations at Time Warner Cable told TheBlaze adding it is not something they’re currently looking at, but they are “constantly evaluating new networks.”
Two representatives from Comcast did not immediately return requests for comment.

Now it makes sense...It's a coordinated campaign from a marketing company pushing Beck.. That explains all the posts requesting it here. Thought maybe I had missed the free Kool-Aid.

You are obviously happy watching Al Sharpton on MSNBC. You are misinformed my friend. I do not want to be. You will hear more truth from Glen Beck than you ever have from any of the major networks or CNN, etc; God forbid you're watching MSNBC

Uh...no. Sorry, wrong again. Can't stand Sharpton. And if you truly believe that watching Beck equals "being informed" or "truth", well....good luck to you. I saw his show a few times when it was on the previous channel and truth rarely was in evidence. Same goes for the few times I';ve heard his radio show. f Although it was usually good for a few chuckles.
People like Sharpton, Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly, etc. are agenda-driven and I never expect them to provide truth and facts.

Wasting your time he obviously watches Al Jazeera.
The Blaze would be a great addition to FIOS as the Blaze takes all parties to task.
Verizon, you need to include The Blaze for balance to your line up.

I would like to see Blaze added, as long as it it's on decent terms, maybe on the same packages as what Current/Al Jazeera is currently carried. While they are at it, maybe place both channels in the lower 100's with the other news channels.

I was going to switch back to comcast anyway because my fios bill has been gradually getting larger and larger since having the equipment installed and also, the fact that no one from verizon has responded to any of these posts. Not sure of Comcasts stance on the balze; i'm sure they are progressive liberals as well, but atleast it will be cheaper for me to fund al-jazeera, al sharpton and al gwh*re, right?
