You are obviously happy watching Al Sharpton on MSNBC. You are misinformed my friend. I do not want to be. You will hear more truth from Glen Beck than you ever have from any of the major networks or CNN, etc; God forbid you're watching MSNBC

The typical response I expect. Sorry to disappoint you but Sharpton, Beck, Mahar, Maddow, pill popper Rush and the rest of the mental midget, biased dingdong talking heads are ALL the same and I never watch any of them. (though watching Fox & Friends can be rather amusing, they are usually so clueless it is funny to watch). Sorry but NONE of them tell the "truth" as you claim, I do not need someone to tell me how to think.

I am 100% against any kind fo censorship so I am all for adding the Blaze, as long as it costs next to NOTHING. Right now Beck charges $5 a month, that is absurd. Now if Verizon was to make the Blaze a pay channel, hell more power to you all. There is NO "news" organization on the face of the earth, left, right, communist, fascist, arab, etc. that I would EVER pay that amount for.

I was going to switch back to comcast anyway because my fios bill has been gradually getting larger and larger since having the equipment installed and also, the fact that no one from verizon has responded to any of these posts. Not sure of Comcasts stance on the balze; i'm sure they are progressive liberals as well, but atleast it will be cheaper for me to fund al-jazeera, al sharpton and al gwh*re, right?

First off, this is a PEER to PEER forum, with the exception of the MODS making sure nothing inappropriate is posted Verizon does not monitor or respond to these posts.

You have a lessor chance of Comcast adding the Balze as you do Verizon.

I remember when Rupert Murdoch had to sue Time Warner to get them to carry The FOX News channel.

Maybe Glenn Beck should consider doing the same.

The left wing elites are attempting to influence American's attitudes to favor socialism by censoring conservative news and viewpoints.

The low information voter is being mesmerized by their Honey Boo Boos, Buckwilds and Al Jazeera TV programs and don't realize they are being manipulated by the oligarchy of the leftist elites.

I don't think it's such a vast conspiracy. It's a new (and independent) network that will take time to grow. The "big" news channels demand carriage in bundles with other networks owned by FOX, NBC, and Turner channels, respectively.

Just because a former radio DJ turned phony political leader starts a TV network doesn't mean it has to be carried by cable providers.  Have Beck BUY TV time for awhile, prove he can get ratings, then come back to the table.

Yes please consider adding The Blaze, not enough decent channels on the lineup, we may switch to Dish just for this channel option.

Look at his ratings when he was on Fox...and look at Dish sales based on the fact that they offer his channel, that should be convincing enough, yes he can get annoying with the entertainment side of his show...and over dramatic but he still relays important stories not covered and highlights the good guys who haven't become corrupted in DC. Truth is so obscure from the general public...he does shed light and ask questions that no one I have heard on network tv ask. If he makes the average American care more and get more involved in their local politics and communities then he should be someone to watch instead of slander.

DISH sales had nothing to do with Blaze, FYI.   It is primarily due to the fact that they offer The Hopper DVR. (Currently under fire by advertisers.)  As for Fox, as of January.  their ratings have continued to decline and they are now at a 12-year low.  O'Reilly (a man who claims "facts"...but only "facts" when other facts are ignored, which he does often) is down 26%,  Hannity down 19%, and Van Sustern down 38%.  (Neilsen ratungs)  So it seems you have your wish...the average American apparently IS becoming better informed.  As for Beck's ratings at Fox....just the facts.  See the graph below.  After a brief spike (which exists because it was the day after the health reform passed), it began an accelerated decline which continued unabated...leading to Fox finally (and thankfully) pilling the plug.  Want more facts?

As reported in 2011 by Business Insider  ":Glenn Becksuffered the biggest drop, losing 30% of his audience compared to the first quarter last year.  But he wasn't alone.  Top ranking O'Reilly lost 14% of his audience.

Greta Van Susteren, who has been bleeding viewers to Anderson Cooper this month, is down 22.86%.

All in all Fox News actually lost 21% of its primetime audience during the quarter.

Compare this to CNN which is up 28% in primetime and MSNBC which is up 9% (Rachel Maddow increased by 16.65% and Anderson Cooper by 18%

Not slander...just facts. Something Mr Beck is generally unfamiliar with, based on my previous viewing of his past (mostly unfactual) efforts, which is more propaganda than fact.  And I don't endure propaganda from either left or right.

The kicker for me was something I heard on his radio show while flipping stations, wherein  Beck informed listeners  that "an "individual" at the Vatican told him that we are entering a "period of great darkness" and that Beck himself was "wildly important" to the upcoming struggle."  Talk about an ego!  So he thinks he's Moses too???  I'm not an atheist, but If that is what passes as "facts" to his listeners/viewers, then the 'great darkness"  is probably already here.

Being a "fair & balanced" individual, taking a closer look at the "facts" reveals the "truth:"

Fox News' plummeting ratings: Why the network is struggling The conservative news outlet is suffering its worst ratings in 12 years

By Ryu Spaeth | January 30, 2013

In January, Fox News had its worst primetime ratings since 2001 in the all-important age demographic of 25-54, according to new Nielsen data. Furthermore, its total day ratings for the age group fell to their lowest levels since 2008. The grim news for the conservative cable network was gleefully publicized by liberal rival MSNBC, which boasted a 20 percent boost in the 25-54 demographic from the previous year, and an 11 percent climb in primetime.

What happened? While some liberal commentators would like to see Fox's decline as evidence of a leftward shift in public opinion, coinciding with President Obama enjoying his highest favorability ratings in three years, the truth is probably simpler. Conservative viewers in January — participating in a collective version of see no evil, hear no evil — likely passed on watching President Obama's inauguration, a ratings bonanza for MSNBC. Fox has suffered similar ratings declines during other big Democratic events.

It's also important to keep the latest development in context. As Katherine Fung and Jack Mirkinson at The Huffington Post note, "Fox News still had nine out of the top 10 programs. It has spent 11 consecutive years as the top-rated news channel. Its 6 a.m. show drew almost double the ratings of CNN's top-ranking primetime show."

Ouch. However, while Fox may not feel the need to shake up its lineup à la CNN, the house that Ailes built is making a few changes. Sarah Palin was recently let go as a commentator, while Red State editor Erick Erickson, a recent refugee from CNN, was brought on board.

I imagine that it doesn't do much good to ask for new channels on here, so I'll be calling when I'm done this. But as a new customer I would like to have Blaze TV added to the channle line up. I'd also be willing to pay a la carte like other speciality or premium channles.
