I pay good money to subscribe to the Internet version of the BLAZE TV. Verizon would GAIN subscribers if they pick up the BLAZE news channel before Time Warner and other Cable providers do. If they wait, they will no doubt loose out to Time Warner and Currently ...Dish Network, which already carries The Blaze!
While Verizon may gain even more subscibers they sure are NOT losing any now by not carrying Beck's channel. Verizon has shown sustained subscriber growth for a number of quarters now despite not carrying the channel. It's not a matter of subscribers causing Verizon not to carry the channel but the OUTRAGEOUS cost of the Blaze. If you really want Verizon and the other large carriers, DirecTV and Comcast, to carry the channel you should be lobbying Beck to LOWER the cost of the channel. It's all about $$$$$$$$$$, you all can rant and rave about being un-american and all the other nonsense but when i comes right down to it, it is the subscriber fees Beck wants.
Everyone carries it but FIOS!
That is a totally untrue statement. The big players, DirecTV and Comcast both do NOT carry the channel. In fact I believe 7 out of the top 10 largest cable/Satelitte companies do not carry it.
PLease add the Blaze to the TV line up. As subscribers, we already pay for programing that my family is not interested in such as Jewelry Television, Liquidation Channel, Esquire Network, Veria Living TV, Bravo, Cloo, Logo, Ovation TV and may more. So please add one that reflect our interest and point of view.
I too would like Verizon to carry The Blaze. Yes he is opinionated, but I think since he started his own company you see much more research and fact goes into this program than his old Conspiracy Theorist persona.
look at the stats,
DIRECT FROM NEILSON
foxnews:1.2 million primetime views
msnbc:722,000 primetime views
cnn:351,000 primetime views
DIRECT FROM WALL STREET JOURNAL:
TheBlazetv has over 300,000 internet subscribers and glenn beck had 2.2 million viewers when leaving fox.
I know there are many people like me that would pay a few extra dollars for a package on tv, than subscribe top a channel and have to sit on the computer to view content
Its still over priced. As many people who like GB, many can't stand him.
Still Verizon would probably add him if the cost/benefit ratio was better.
Foxnews, MSNBC, and CNN all are required to be carried if Verizon wants to carry some of the providers sister channels.
"I know there are many people like me that would pay a few extra dollars for a package on tv"
I dropped my subscription for the not-so-premium movie channel HBO recently, but I'm willing to spend those $ to get The Blaze TV if Verizon will carry it.
