WEATHER CHANNEL

While I like many FIOS features, I am very disappointed in loss of the Weather Channel, and may have to drop FIOS. AccuWeather is OK but there is no Local on the 8's equivalent for detailed local forecast, which is what I value the most. The FIOS Widget for local weather is incomplete in regard to a detailed forecast. Once again, VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I miss The Weather Channel too. Verizon says people get their weather other ways now, so why did they replace The Weather Channel with Accu Weather? If people do get their weather other ways, we don't need Accu Weather. It's all about cost, I for one will be getting The Weather Channel back, when I switch to Time Warner Cable next week.

I have to agree, while there were some things I didn't like about the Weather Channel it was a big reason I watched TV.  Am actively looking at Comcast and Direct TV

to say everyone is getting their weather from the internet is bunk

I have been a customer for 20 years.

I work outside, and rely on the information TWC provides.

I find it disrespectful, for all the money I pay Your company,

that You should willy nilly cancel this Channel.

I also enjoy some of the other programs on TWC.

Your choice of "Accu-weather" is a poor one.

the Production values are High school grade, at best.

Let Me remind Verizon....You work for Myself and the rest of Your

CUSTOMERS...

Do what's necessary to put TWC back on Your service...

This is an incredibly selfish and greedy BAD idea on Verizon's part.  It's the %#cking Weather Channel!?  Why couldn't you get rid of like Faux News!?  More factual and truthful stuff happens on the Weather Channel that Fox News by far!!!  Don't tell me I can use Accuweather...  What if I want REAL time coverage with people on the ground, video, etc when serious weather events are happening around the country and here in NJ???  And no, I don't feel like using the DATA on my Verizon Wireless phone.  STOP BEING GREEDY VERIZON.  We pay you enough for our cable, our internet and our cell phones.  Yet another reason to switch to T-Mobile and some other cable provider.

The weather channel is much needed in areas with severe and quickly changing weather, this new channel is a joke. BRING BACK THE WEATHER CHANNEL!  For those who think it is lame do not have to watch it. For many of us it is about being safe....

Ridiculous decision by fios to dump the Weather Channel! With all the money subscribers pay for your service, at the very least you'd expect quality programming to choose from. The weather channel is a mainstay for most everyone to get solid information from about weather amongst other things. BRING IT BACK NOW! You will lose my business and I'm sure many others, if the "executives" at fios don't get their act together! Absolutely idiotic on fios part to not have this rectified ASAP! .

Ok first of all who are YOU (Verizon) to decided that people don't need the weather channel. I am the one who is payng for the service. Perhaps you should have asked customers first before taking it upon yourself to take away one of the only channels my family watch. Weather is just as important as any other news as it effects everyone. What about CNN that recycles the same **bleep** news all day long, there is "an app for that" as well. Why do we need the news looping all day. The weather is science and is part of our world just as much as what Hilary Clinton is doing with her email....yet the weather acctually effects my life MUCH more. My 8 year old daughter loves the weather channel. They talk about climate change, have programs about tornadoes, shows about how to survive natural disasters which in the times we are living in are effecting everyone around the world more and more and to stay informed is extremely important. There are also interesting reality shows about REAL people and their REAL lives and jobs. It's important to see the reality of how other people live. It shows us and our children the world, it's not just about a 5 day forecast. I feel naked without the weather channel. I love to wake up and watch that in the morning. The news is full of 90% bad news. I don't want to drink my morning coffee listening to how people were gunned down. However I am interested in the tons of snow Boston has been dealing with, the weather keeps us connected. The weather channel touches on the improtant news going on around the country and the world as well, but leaves out the unessary. I am sorry that someone shot their girlfriend in the bronx etc., but there is nothing I can do about it and I don't need to hear al the horrible things that happened over night the moment I wake up. I also don't need my 8 year old hearing all that when she is eating her breakfast and getting ready for school. The weather channel morning programs are safe for little ears and eyes, I don't have to worry about anything disturbing popping up, even commercial. I can't even tell you how much is **bleep** me off when I have a prime time morning show on and then sudden some horrific, demonic movie trailer comes on....lovely, that's great, really. I love to wake up with Stephanie Abrams,, Jim Cantore (I mean wiithout him, how would we all know about "thunder snow" and that it's THAT amazing, lol) I want them back!!!!!!!!!! That AccuWeather channel you put in it's place is AWEFUL.
