Verizon is NOT following its contract of including the Weather channel of subscribers who signed up before its elimination.

I suggest you read the terms of service. Like any provider they can add, change and remove channels at anytime they want. If a contract ends with a provider and Verizon do you really think they have to carry it just because you signed a contract?

I'm so unhappy about Verizon canceling the Weather Channnel that I will definitely be switching back to Comcast as soon as my contract is up.  This AccuWeather is horrible!  Good-bye Verizon.

When all the tornados were bouncing around in north Texas, Accuweather was COMPLETELY useless. I didn't want to watch the weather in Boston when my house might be blowing away. The Weather Channel always has live, weather updates when severe weather in the area.

Pretty much "grumbling among ourselves," as these forums were created by Verizon for customers to talk to each other, not for customers to talk to Verizon.

Verizon monitors the groups to keep conversations polite and handoff specific customer issues to the support team, but you should not consider this a way to send any message to Verizon.

If you want to send a message to Verizon about TWC, the best thing you can do is cancel your service.

Good Luck.

Please bring back teh Weather Channel on FIOS.  Accuweather is a poor substitute - it seems like a high school TV project.  Weather Channel is far superior and most useful for severe weather information, especially during hurricane season.

After a year full of severe weather storms Verizon decides  The Weather Channel is a good way to cut cost?  Here's a clue....... I PAY FOR THE WEATHER CHANNEL! My contract is up in January maybe time for a change. Every contract Verizon charges me more and gives me less, thats buisness. But the Weather Channel? Accu-weather is horrible and Verizon is gonna force me to pay for it?  Usually I recommend FIOS as the best service available, and believe it, but theres a line. Severe  storm warnings is something I want available.  Did anyone at Verizon look at accuweather before they made this genius move?

Well here we are. Just over two months have gone by, and still no sign of The Weather Channel on FiOS TV. If you folks out at FiOS cosmic control are all as smart as I sincerely hope you are, you'll bring back The Weather Channel post-haste. If not? Well my contract expires in about a year, so we'll see. Hopefully, you'll have The Weather Channel back long before May 2016, otherwise when my contract expires at that time, I'll be making the decision not to renew it. So, FiOS cosmic control, the ball's in your court, and the clock is ticking... Bring back The Weather Channel. *tick...tick.....tick......tick.....*

Verizon offered me a discount in February if I signed a 2 year contract which included The Weather Channel (among others) and have now dropped The Weather Channel and 3 Fox College Sports channels that were included in MY CONTRACT!!!!

As said in another post above you need to read the terms of service that YOU agreed to. No channels were included in the contract. Service was. ALL providers can add, change, delete channels at anytime due to contracts or any other reason.

The weather channel has been gone for a good amount of time now and people are still complaining about it. Also as said, these are peer to peer forums so posting here trying to get the channel back isn't going to work.

The chances Verizon will bring the channel back is extremely slim to none.

It's time to move on people. If you arent' happy then cancel service.

I hate AccuWeather as well because it's inaccurate and It doesn't have live coverage like The Weather Channel does. When I first saw AccuWeather I didn't like it, and I still don't.
