The media manager (whatever it's called) doesn't support network drives (NAS)?

This kinda stinks since I keep all my photos, videos, and music on a NAS device. Why such a silly limitation? Or just break down and get the DVR/STB's to support DNLA, which many NAS devices can already support. I mean, after looking through these forums it seems that was promised about 2 years ago.

I am really surprised and disappointed that the media manager will not access networked or external drives. Has anyone from Verizon come online about fixing this?
