The movie "Ted"

I find it really Interesting that I received on email from you acknowledging our renting the movie, Ted.   My wife and I are no prudes, but we found this film, featuring an animated teddy bear out of whose foul mouth every other word is an obscenity, not in the least bit funny and  truly offensive.  We turned this trash off after only about five or six minutes into it.   We want our account credited for the $4.99 which we paid to be subjected to it.

Is this for real? Did you truly not know what "Ted" was about before renting it? The entire premise of the movie was regarding a foul-mouthed teddy bear. Not sure how that wasn't clear as day before hitting the "purchase" button. I doubt you'll get a refund because you didn't like the content though. If that were the case, they'd be giving back millions to people unsatisifed with their rental selections.

Amen.  Especially when a film is listed as UNRATED.   When a movie is Rated R, and then also has an Unrated edition...well, what were they expecting...YOGI BEAR?  KUNG FU PANDA?

I read on this forum once that if you watch less than 10 minutes of an On Demand movie it is considered a preview and you don't get charged.  Is that true?  If that is true, and this person really only watched 5 or 6 minutes, then I don't think they would be billed for the movie.

yes, but it's not an automatic credit. You do have to call and let them know.  There will be a charge on the bill, and a credit on the following bill.

It's one thing to do a blind tryout of a movie that you get in your package -- If you decide you don't like, just swith channels -- but if you're going to rent (and pay $ for) a move, you should run a quick internet search for reviews, e.g. IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes, to get a feel for what it's about and its rating.  I've certainly had times, maybe with company in the room, where we decide to rent a movie and don't look into it first, but most of the time, it's a good idea to look it up as the cable synopses are woefully inadequate.
