There Should Be More Options.

I don't need any of the sports channels. I live in  an Urban area and have no interest in the "Farm Channels", and then there are the "Religion" channels.  I don't watch any of these and yet I am stuck paying for them.  Can't  you come up with a way to make some of this channels more of an option and less of an expense?

You're talking to other customers here.  None of us have any say in what Verizon chooses to offer other than voting with our wallets.

They have an "idea" board, you may want to post your comments there.

It's unlikely you'll get anywhere, your complaint has been made many times against many cable companies for many years.  They just don't want to offer ala-carte channels.

With some of the changes you should be able ask that the sports package be dropped.

You aren't paying anything for the religious channels.  They actually pay to be placed on FiOS/Cable/Satellite providers.

What you are asking for is called a la carte programming.
problem is that the the channels are owned by a small group of companies.

The contracts they have with companies like Verizon state that they have to pay for a group of channels if they want the popular ones.

So therefore, Verizon has to pay for them and they pass the costs on to us.
