Years ago, UHD was a must-have channel.  They should major movies uncut, unedited, unaltered, and uninterrupted,   Now, all they have are cheap DTV movies, cut, edited, picture cropped, and with commercials. And of course, eternal re-runs of MONK, HOUSE, etc.  I won't miss it.

Unfortunately, there are so many channels that fit this general description now. Previously must-have channels that devolved into wastes of space and time.

It took me a while, but I just realized I don't have this channel anymore. Basically I would simply watch reruns of House MD on this - but the commercials on this channel are so painfully bad (4 min ads for Proactive, Shark vacuums) I gave up.

Losing channels on my plan does suck...not sure what I got to replace this if anything. I have the Extreme HD pacakge, no preminum channels. I say if you remove channels from my plan, then drop my bill each month.

Verizon has recently added several new channels in HD so they arent just taking channels away. It's in your contract/tos that they can add, remove, change channels at anytime. All providers do this. Almost all of the time a channel is removed either all together or from a package is because of contracts and pricing between the network and the provider.

Well then, they need to figure that stuff out before they go into business instead of offering people things in which they cannot deliver. But I suppose "Snake Oil Salespeople" have no morals.

Contract explicitly says they can add and delete channels from your package at any time.

Never seeing anyone saying their bill should go up when channels are added.

And this is quite the industry standard.

Would be way too hard to keep adjusting everyones bill as channels are added and deleted.

Not to mention adjusting for contract price changes from the content providers.

Well, if they do things right the first time then there would be no need for all theses constant changes, now would there? If you buy a box of cracker jacks or cereal with a prize inside, do you take the time to write or send the company an extra dollar or two, thanking them for the gift? I'll bet not. But if you buy that same box of cracker jacks or cereal with the words "there's a prize inside" written on the label... do you not somehow feel ripped off when you open that box and find out that the prize is missing? It's the principle of the matter. "Don't promise something in which you cannot deliver. Work out all the kinks in your product before sending it out for consumer use. Don't assume any changes you make to a product are pleasing to your customers just because they are pleasing to you etc,." Anyone who has ever watched Shark Tank knows Mark Cuban always says how much he values his time. Well, like MC, I value my time also. I don't want to waste time with a company that promises me one thing and does something else. I don't want to waste time with a product that has so many problems and glitches that it causes me stress. If a consumer purchases a product that causes them physical or mental harm then the company or person person of that product is liable, and therefore vulnerable to lawsuits. I feel corporations "such as verizon" should be held to those same standards. Verizon fios is full of glitches and problems.. it's frustrating and stressful. In the beginning I was fairly pleased with their service, but over time the quality of their service has declined dramatically while I'm constantly paying more and more, and getting less and less..as problems with their services continues to arise. And since I can't be compensated in a court of law for the mental stress their product causes me, then verizon should be thankful instead of trying to squeeze more and more money from me.
