Universal Sports?

Why does Verizon Fios not carry universal sports?  I am very disappointed and confused.  Will it ever carry Universal?

The DISH is the ONLY carrier of Universal sports at the moment. Universal/NBC really screwed up when they made the Universal Sports channel a fee based channel, nobody carries it now.
