Update on Nasa TV

I know more and more people have responded to the addition of Nasa TV as well as in HD.  I was advised that we may have missed the deadline for this year's channel lineup add's.  I don't have the channel add's for the remainder of the year but wanted to give everyone a heads up on what's going on with this channel. For everyone that still pm's me with wanting the channel I will still submit a ticket regarding the channel addition.

Together with everyone showing they want the channel I'm sure we can get it quicker.

Do you mean 'Adds for the year', as now thru Jun or now-December?

Currently, I keep a sat dish up just to get this channel because Nasa Channel is 'in the clear', I remodulate it to cable channel 124 and insert it in my cable after a ch 123 attenuator.

Works like a champ.

Of course he means December, June does not end the "year"

Some companies end their year in June. What in the world does it take to add a channel to the list. This is stupid! Don't our tax dollars pay for it already now.

Jeez!

If we have filled up the whole year's HD adds or channel adds, I sure would like to know what channels they are adding over the next 8 months.

Is there a list available?  NASATV is free to all cable companies.  It seems stupid to advertise 'virtually unlimited bandwidth on fiber' and then not put a FREE/PUBLIC channel, even in SD

I would think that Verizon would put up anything and everything they can get!

I know ComedyCentral/AMC hd, etc is a cable company owned channel problem, but they have CSPAN3 for goodness sake, but no NASATV?

Someone at Verizon really has to address the customer concerns in a real/ongoing way, or even me, a great lover of FiOS, will be forced to leave from being left out in the dark.

Techman said we "may have" missed.  I suspect there might still be a way to get it this year.

"This year" could reference a fiscal year.  That might end in June, it might end in September.  It might be the calendar year and end in December.

I would just like to say thank you to Techman for his efforts.  I'm sure eventually we'll get this channel added.

I am now curious about what other channels are on the "add" list for this year. 🙂

I too would like to thank techman for his efforts in this regard!

Maybe we could lower our sights a little and ask for a 2 week try out during the upcoming Hubble servicing mission?  You just know that mission is going to make for good TV. They're even bringing an imax camera as part of a ducumentary about the Hubble telescope.

I'm quite interested to see if this happens.  I never got into NASA Tv and I think it would be a great channel to have.  🙂

Just checked the Investor Relations portion of the Verizon web site.VZ's fiscal year is the calendar year.
