When i open the Verizon email to click here, your wait is over for the new 500GB DVR, nothing happens and it times out. I cant find anything on my account about it. So I called yesterday and they said it could be an internal problem they would get back to me. Still not working and no response. Has anyone figured out where and how to get this DVR?

The first time I tried it, I received a page that said to sign into my account. Only problem was there was no place to sign into. So, I went on-line first and signed into my account. When I clicked on link it went to the page where you pick which receivers you want to replace. I did both my receivers over the weekend and I received them today. All I have to do now is clear out all my shows.

My local Verizon store now has the 500GB DVR and I'm looking forward to
swapping out my old one for it.
These remarks have me a little leary though. Any positive comments about them?

I went around and around with Verizon online and phone support over expanding my storage.
I was told that the DVR I had was expandable and that the drive I bought would work - wrong on both counts.
I called my local store and they were very helpful; I packed up my old one and they happily gave me a new one.
It's been several days with no problems.

Glad to hear that! Our local store has been very helpful too.

You have to go to a special page on their website (sorry I dont have it handy anymore) and then sign up to get an email when it is ready. Then you go through the email to basically request it and they bill you $40 to upgrade (which I think is shady). Don't get me wrong...I love Verizon...just don't like the fact that we should be getting the 500GB upgrades for free on request.

I'm having the same problem as the original poster -- I filled out the request form with my name and email address about 10 days ago, I received an email from Verizon saying I can now upgrade my DVR. But when I try to, I get frozen at a page that says:
Please wait while we are retrieving your records"
I've written to and called customer service but with no results. any idea what's wrong with the web site?
