For those in the NY Area (there might be other locations, not sure) but ABC-TV allows us in the New York Area to stream Live ABC-TV Channel 7 on your Apple Device (Ipad, Iphone). It was free through June 30. July 1 came and now in order to watch Live TV you must be a participing provider and guess who is NOT on that list? FIOS.......
It's so sad that all the other local cable providers are participating (such as Cablevision) and us poor folk on Fios cannot watch this, for free. Same goes for Disney Channel.
So much for being ahead of the game I feel like while everyone is moving ahead Fios is behind.
Unless something changes I am switching.
Jim

If you are still following this thread, as promised in the email from ABC to me a few weeks ago, Verizon is now included as part of the Watch ABC app. So if you are in a city that offers live TV on the ABC app, you can now sign in using your verizon credentials. Enjoy!

Is that right? What other providers are participating besides Cablevision? Directv? Comcast? TWC?

Works fine for me with Verizon FIOS. You need to login to myVerizon and click the remember me checkbox. Then just goto the watchabc site. No additional login needed.

Not here it doesn't. Not on the computer, the iPhone or the iPad.

When I go to WatchABC.go.com on my desktop, it allows me to log in on MyVerizon, then will show me live TV. However, it doesn't work with the app on my iPad. The app doesn't show Verizon in the approved cable providers, and if I first go to MyVerizon on the iPad, log in then go to WatchABC.go.com in the browser, it bounces me back to the app, which will not work.

I follow the exact same steps and it won't allow me to watch on the desktop or laptop. The WatchABC.go.com address leads me to the page where it asks my location, then asks me to choose a service provider, of which FiOS is not listed. I've tried it on three different computers now, no luck each time. And yes, have been signed into My Verizon each time.

Works fine with both of my computers. Are you in the NYC DMA? I suspect each local ABC may have negotiated separately.
