Is France 24 available as some local OTA channel? If not they would be unlikely to add it unless they chose to add it to nationally.
Time Warner Cable has them on its line up Nationally.
Fios has it in DC and Massachussets and Upstate NY.
NOT in NYC.
They were OTA until Fios Threatened to suie the station for breach of contract. Stating that the programming deal is not what they were was going to be on the air.
I think Verizon is too political in its offerings. They dont seem to have reasoning on how or why they add a channel. Consumers demand a channel but yet they add some **bleep** commercial channel because they get money from it.
I think that TWC has since evolved pass that and has been satisfying not only the English Audience but its International Customers. You have to an exhorbiting amount for an international channel package.
For example the South Asian Package on Fios is about $35 for just 4 channels while on TWC it is $25 for much more channels. Also on TWC you have the choice of much more news channels. While on FIOS you are limited to particular channels that expressed political views.
I want fair and independent news with no political agenda behind it.

In Philly it is an OTA channel (QAM channel 35.3, Verizon channel 477), not part of any national line-up as the original poster claims.
