Verizon installed DirectTV (instead of FIOS) and DirectTV has 3net as part of the channel lineup. I invested in an LG 3D HDTV this past Christmas and I can tell you the content is *awesome*! It's a bit repitious due to lack of content volume, but we've enjoyed DVRed showings of a number of extremely high production value iMAX movies and a few 3D movies as well. With Verizon having a majority ownership stake in DirectTV, you'd think they could offer this great (Discovery) channel on their FIOS service as well... I really hope they'll show an awareness of the growing percentage of their customer base who have 3D TVs and add this channel (and others with 3D content) to their lineup.

There is a 3D channel on DirectV yet they show the same travel shows and nature shows over and over.  There was a movie one time Cloudy with a chance of meatballs yet they never showed another movie.  I am going to cancel out of Directv contract because the price is nice for the 1st year and then they remove all your credits even if you made sure there was a discount the next year of contract althought it was not as much.  They would not help at all until I was ready to cancel and then they gave me some credits yet I am not the type to fight for things I work Customer Service for a cell carrier and no its not verizon:) and believe in being fair.

I also pay 25 a month for advanced hd dvr whole home and I only have 1 tv yet that is what we all must pay if want hd dvr....do as you like just be sure to find all the extra fees.

ITS nott working out to well! soon no one will have ESPN 3D as ESPN will be dropping the channel soon! BBC is  also droppimg their 3D programming. ESPN says they might return to 3D someday <I hope they do for the fols that have 3D tvs. But you can still buy 3D blu ray movies.

Losing ESPN doesn't mean anything except that there isn't enough watchable content on there for some people to want to pay for.  Golf in 3D?  Yawn.  And how many games/events are using 3D cameras anyway?  Not many.

I have a 3D set and have never watched ESPN 3D.  Movie, of course, are a different matter. But even for those, people can rent the 3D Blu-Ray for a few dollars less and get a better 3D picture and superiorr audio.  Of course, that is not taken into account. Personally, I only use the OnDemand 3D options for a 3D movie that I didn't want to see enough to rent the disc.  As it is, I love 3D and am happy with the options availabler.  I don't need a deicated liners 3D channel if there isn't programming to justify it.
