The only thing is that the games are blacked out.  Wonder if there will be an additional charge? By the way, the Phillies got lucky and it will be another 28 years before another one.

To see out of market games, you are going to need Extra Innings. If you are talking about an increase of rates to carry YES HD, then I am sure VZ will, at some point, increase their rates to cover the additional carriage fees. It isn't like VZ (or any for profit company) is going to absorb additional costs without passing it on to their customers.

Already got the extra innings. I think I was the first or second person to sign up as it took them over 30 mins to sort it out, since I called them the day it was available.

We are looking forward to pre and post games as well as some of the other programming like Yankeeography and Center Stage.

Going to have to see if that is possible, as I looked at the guide last night and it didn't have the pregame listed, only batting practice. After batting practice the channel guide was dark for that slot.

If anyone has luck seeing the pre and post game and are out of market (like me in LA) let me know. I know on DirectTV I was able to get both of those, even though I was out of market.

YankFanLA-

I was able to see the pre-game show last night - and i'm out of market. Didn't tune in after that...but I can confirm at least the pre-game show was on - then it went to some classic Yankees game in upconverted SD.

Anyone in Florida getting YES?  I posted this separately the other day since the original post on this was 2 months ago & I thought no one would continue to reply to it.  I had FIOS installed on the 4-3 & thought YES was available especially since Brighthouse cable now has it but it wasn't in the guide.  Then after the update the other day it was listed in the cahnnel guide in the morning but not in the evening but was still listed in my online guide until this morning.  I just checked & it's not listed anymore.  It was channel 595--I could see it in the guide but when I tuned to it there was an error message (I don't recall what it was).  I'm not worried about watching the games on YES (I get MLB Extra Innings), I just want to see Yankeeography & some of the other programmin they have.

Thanks.

Well I am in VHO4 out of Silverspring MD, and YES was seen yesterday. Not a real NewYork fan but something for everyone.

I don't see it posted by anyone else, YES HD showed up here in North Texas in the last day or two. I am not a Yankees fan (go Texas Rangers, 3-0 so far, at least for the next 2-3 hours), but it is always nice to get a new channel  Smiley Happy

In Northern VA YES has appeared as well.  What I'm curious about is whether or not we'll be able to watch Yankees games on YES this year like I used to when I lived in NY.

Nope the live games get blacked out outside of the NY area.  This is really a waste of an addition for an HD channel.

psumatt,

Thanks for the update. I got it too. I think that FIOS is still setting up their guide. I noticed today that the pre-game and post game were listed and I got them both.

That makes recording them alot easier now.

Now... if only they would let those of us who subscribe to EI get the Yankee HD games off of YES (like D*TV) then we would be completely off to the races

I agree.  This channel is pointless without the games.  Even when I lived in the NYC area the only time I really watched this channel was when the game was on.  C'mon VZ!  Get the national audience the full experience!
