Received mass email from Verizon indicating they will drop CNBC World from Premier and Extreme line ups. I feel the pain of all you who have had committed to multiyear contracts only to see your favorite channels dropped or be forced to upgrade to more expensive packages you don't want. Is there anything we can do? Anyone else disappointed?
I received the email, did not even know I had CNBC World and I definitely don't have MNET at all. So I won't miss either one....
Maybe this will free up space for some channels I might actually care about.

You are more than welcome!
Were you actually looking for and expecting sympathy? Just wondering, since this is a forum for people to come and ask questions and hopefully get answers from other customers. Sympathy? Not so much......

I'm disappointed as well. Nice of these others to stop by and note that they are not disappointed.
I'm thinking I'll look into one of the dish companies. Verizon has probably 95% junk channels in my estimate, and it charges a premium for those. I suppose in the end I'm surprised that they can carry an endless sea of junk and yet manage to pick this channel to drop.
Unbelievable. CNBC World is one of the few channels of any value. I bought Extreme HD specifically to get a couple channels including CNBC World. So they are 'streamlining'. I didn't learn that strategy in business school. Seems like decrease costs while holding revenues constant to increase margin. Of course, sooner or later the customers go away but they can make excellent profits in the interim. Streamlining...... I guess I can watch Championship Billiards.
