Why is "the Mentalist" not available on CBS on Demand? I am a huge fan but am unable to watch it in real time because I need to be asleep no later than 8pm. I've set my DVR to record it. However, the show never starts on time. Between football... 60 minutes running long, etc., what I wind up with is a recording of part of "the Good Wife" and then part of "the Mentalist", so the end of the episode is neverrecorded. It is very frustrating. Oddly, I had the same problem with it on TWC. Have the producers/thenetwork blocked this show specifically from On Demand? I truly hate to play catchup on myt computer. But I suppose I'll have no choice.
Disclaimer: I posted this question as a reply to another, but decided to post it as a stand-alone. I hope that's alright.

I have the same issue. To resolve I set the DVR to start early and end 2 hours after. I have to fast forward to the start, but I've never missed the end.
In my area The Mentalist is available on demand. But the way the dates are listed the latest episode is in the middle.
The latest episode is also available on CBS.com.

Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't know you could set the dvr to start at a specific time, as opposed to setting it for a specific show. I'll try that. Thank you.
But, do you know WHY it's not available on demand? Other CBS shows are. It's strange. 😕

It is listed as "The" Mentalist after "The" Good Wife. I have found shows I also thought were not available by looking at the entire list.
