Verizon does not offer a west coast feed for univision for people who are on the east coast. Directv does and now comcast has announced that they are going to be offering west coast feeds of univision, telefutura (which is scheduled to become univsion mas or unimas) and there will be a west coast feed added for telemundo. They already have west coast feeds for telehit and ritmoson latino. Comcast just announced another 10 more channels that will be added to the comcast latino lineup where they are currently working on creating at least 10 more channels of their own for spanish speaking customers in the next year. Verizon as usual is far behind the competition like cablevision, time warner and other companies in this area where they continue to boast of a robust spanish package that offers the most channels in the country that are in spanish but if you were to take a look at that package you will see that they are almost all basically from the same exact country which is mexico. There are several univision owned channels that verizon will be adding in the next few months which includes univision telenovelas, unimas and foro tv. As i have said before verizon needs to step up big time in this area because they have no idea how incredibly frustrated many of their spanish speaking customers are with the lack of choices that exist in the spanish package. There are still no channels from peru like peru magico or canal sur peru, or one from venezuela like tv venezuela, or nicaragua, or paraguay, or honduras or channels in hd for sports channels like espn deportes or any of their soccer channels. A channel from venezuela would get huge ratings right now because the president of that country hugo chavez has terminal cancer and people are interested to see what is going happen with that country. A channel like latino america tv which is sort of like canal sur channel 1549 would be a channel that would include content from paraguay, and nicargua. Comcast by the way just added the latin american sports channel or LAS as it is known to people right after they added bein sports. So now almost every tv provider out there has LAS and bein sports but not verizon who is still dragging their feet on the addition of bein sports.
