No, I never checked what the video settings were prior to the update.  I don't understand any of the video stuff.

Techman, how did my audio get fixed?

Perhaps they have to wait until 1.6.1 has been deployed into all markets before giving details. Think about it. These guys give out all the details here and people that do not even have the update start to flood FCS defeating the reason for the staggard roll out, also, the staggard roll out allows time for tweaks so those that already have 1.6.1 may or may not have the finale product.

1)These guys here can not comment on a product that everyone doesnt have and 2) how can they comment on a product that may not be complete?

This was put up yesterday, and taken down, it was just put back in today. So you may be reading it a bit out of context. I have spoken with Techman about this issue and have had it resolved. But you point that it may not be complete is wrong, it is the final 1.6.1 that's why they are rolling it out. The may release minor build update for bugs, but this would be the complete 1.6.1

What was put up yesterday and taken down, if it was taken down before i saw it how would i know?

I never made a point, i made a suggestion.

If they release minor build updates for bugs "Tweaks" then is IS NOT the finale product. The finale product will be that after all the rollouts have been completed and the tweaks have stopped.

...and even still, there has been no explaination of what 1.6.1 has fixed or has done from any Verizon staff on forum!

I was just letting you know that the issue in my post was resolved already that that was a old post that was put back on the boards. As far as you definition of final build, almost no software would have a final build. Everything from windows, to the zune, to ipod, to dvrs, and everything running anykind of software gets updates and minor tweaks in its lifetime. That would mean Windows XP would not have had a final build, because I got a update to it a few days ago.
A final build is the "stable" release of a software, out of beta phase. Every "Final Build" has minor fixes because there are always bugs to patch.

This in not ment to be a jab at you, just a FYI.

and THATS my point, Verizon should not be using customers as Beta testers, not when we have to pay for the service!

This tweak fixes this, but mess's up that. 1.6 was a great example. How could it have been tested properly in the lab and no one noticed it makes a waste of SD. If they knew it and released it anyway they owe a lot of people a lot of money i would think. Thats why they dont want to tell you what 1.6.1 fixed because they do not know what it screwed up and if they give you definition they are liable for your loss of service and in admitting they have sent out a test product on the their mass consumer base someone may try to get paid.

It has already been said by Verizon employee's that 40 people tested 1.6.1. Do you really think that out of a million customers that is adaquate to realese a finale product? Its still being tested...thus the staggard roll out!

Its not beta testing, its improvement. if it was then I am still beta testing XP, and my xbox 360. Be happy they do software updates and fixes. Back in the day before everything was connected to everything else there were no software update. So when you got something that was buggy, it stayed buggy.
