I have been experiencing the same handshake issues that many others have with the 7216 DVR. Does anyone know when an update will be released to resolve this or should I just go and try to get my 7216 replaced with a 6416?
6416 have the same issues. Not as bad, but they do have the same issue. Supposidly it is supposed to be addressed with the next update. tentativly said to be 4 quarter of this year (OCT, NOV, DEC). But the last update was supposed to address this as well. It fixed some of the HDMI issues (not many but some) but made others even worse. All we can do is wait and see.
In a strange way I am glad to see others having this problem. I also have been having this ever since going to HDMI, after multiple HDMI cables different ports on the TV even updating the microcode on the TV I switched to component cables for now. I am hoping that the fix comes from Verizon sooner rather than later.
