7232 DVR not functional

Is anyone else having this problem with the 7232?

 

Over the past several weeks, the unit will reset itself. When it reboots, all DVR functionality is gone. You cannot record a show, view shows etc- they are not even available under menu. The DVR thinks that it is a standard HD box and not a DVR.

I have to unplug the power from the unit and relplug it in- the system resets and everything is back to normal.

 

It now also happens everytime the unit is powered down it seems.

 

I called tech support and they did a reset of some sort. It did not work. One hour later the box reset itself while we were watching and did the same thing as stated above. I called again and they are sending me a new box.  I just was wondering what the problem might be?

 

I have also had multiple problems with viewing this box using the online DVR...it seems to always read "Bad gateway"

Bad box. Could be the hard drive is going bad. The 7232 is a newer model, but with any product you can get some percent of failures.
