I was told via a phone conversation with Ebony , that I would be having Verizon triple play installed today ( 05/29/2019). But have not received any phone calls or e-mails saying when they would be here today. Is this the way it is usually done , with Verizon ? Or should I call , if so what is the phone number ?

no they usually send an email and they send them over and over. If you gave a cell phone number they send text messages to your phone.

I have gotten faster service with @VerizonSupport which is the Fios twitter handle. Try them.
