OK, so since around April 12 or something, the audio on Comedy Central AND WGN America sounds compressed, like the treble was set down, and all the high frequencies are gone. I really need help with this, and last night, audio levels returned to normal, but today, its compressed as ever! What is going on with FiOS? And I know its not a CC issue, since CV and DirecTV and fine audio.
PS: When will Viacom HD channels come to FiOS?

Do you have more than 1 STB... if so, is the issue on all of them?
Since you are wanting a Verizon employee to resolve this technical issue, did you try contacting Verizon's 24/7 Technical Support at 1 888 553 1555, as oppose to only using the Verizon user Forums?

The audio is compressed on both STBs, 1 HDDVR 6416, and an SD STB. And yes I tried VZ Live Chat, and they keep saying its the feed from CC, but CV's audio is fine.

Sounds like its the feed from the Verizon head end in your area. They need to take a look at that at a local level.

I am a network tech in the Tampa FSC. I checked in our video lab and also at home where I have the service and have not noticed any audio problems.

I've noticed this problem here in Kent County Delaware and it's sporatic. Is there a number we can call while this is occuring to have someone at your end check on it while it's taking place? Hopefully someone in our general area.
