Do you have VMS/IPC?
For these boxes, there is not a simple notifications enable/disable.
I have not found a way to disable the screensaver on these devices.

Have you figured it out?
If not try this:
Settings
System
Media Client Settings
scroll down to Auto Power Off
scroll up to None
That should work.

If you read through the thread, people have done that.
Yet box is still dropping down to screensaver.

I have a brand new Samsung LED series NU8000 with a Verizon FiOs Arris VMS1100 STB with a One Remote control. I have this exact problem, tried everything here. Still have problem. STB. I also have a Samsung 5000 with another smaller Verizon STB. Same issue. So I contacted Samsung on 3 separate times and all I get from them are canned user guide info on connecting external devices like i’m An idiot. Latest response is might be hdmi, stb not anynet capable, must be Verizon not tv. It’s very clear to me that the one remote is not waking up the stb. If I click on any Fios function it wakes up. Seems ridiculous to me that one remote device can’t do the same thing any stb universal remote can.
clearly there’s a command to wake from the Verizon screen saver that is missing in the power on. Turning auto off is not a solution. It’s the screensaver.
has anyone resolved this?

Hi, i stumbled across this forum after 3 months of my wife arguing about this same popup issue when we turn on tv.
I went to Menu/Settings/Notifications/Popup Alerts change options to “Never show me again”
i went to Recomendations, amd turned that off too.
I went to promotions and turned that off
i went to guide banner and shut that off
if i dont come back here to eat crow tomorrow then you can guess it worked for me.
thanks for starting this thread

Several things have been talked about.
Are you refering to the screen saver that says hit menu to watch FIOS?
If so, that is a screen saver. No way to disable.
You can prevent this by not turning STB off. And disable auto power off.
If yuo are seeing something else, please describe or post a pic.
