Aspect ratio control for VOD

I love that the IMG provides an aspect-ratio control (as previous Motorola boxes on Comcast didn't seem to do).

But, on mine at least, I can't use it when watching VOD.  Is this by design, or is it a bug?

Because HBO is so overprotective about their VOD, I can only get their series in SD letterboxed, which produces a postage samp 4-black-sided picture on my screen.

I don't know if it is by design or not, but it does not work for me either, although I generally never watch anything but HD VOD so it really doesn't matter to me. But I did try it on an SD Starz VOD and sure enough it didn't affect the picture. I don't have HBO so I cannot test that.

Try: Settings>Television>SD Override  It worked like a charm on mine.
