The Associated Press (AP) Widget has not had a news update since February 22. Really.... VH06 DAC5 in Ma.
I'm kind of amused that noone else has noticed and reported. And I'm just thrilled to learn that noone at Verizon has acknowleged or updated customers. But then, I've come to expect this level of service from Verizon. Sad, isn't it.
I've had the same problem. I waited to see if they would recognize and fix it but, nothing. I've been trying to report it online but their site would appear to be crippled. It acts like it is under a DOS attack. I can't get it to respond without extreme delays if at all. I'm still trying.

OK, I just spent an hour on an online chat first with a technician and then a supervisor. Below is the final comments from the supervisor:
John(10:40:57): Are you done with reinstalling the widget?
XXXXXXX(10:41:29): I can only drop it from "My Widgets" which I did but it still does not refresh.
John(10:42:29): In that case, it seems to be an issue with the specific widget not working in your location due to any issue at their end.
John(10:48:30): I request you to check with other boxes or any colleagues at your place.
XXXXXXXXXX(10:48:30): I don't know if this helps but I'm on the east coast and I put in a zip code for the west coast and still do not get updated information. Not sure how the widget works but just a fyi.
John(10:49:36): You can get the information of the location where you are.
John(10:49:46): You can check this with any others nearby.
XXXXXXXXX(10:52:55): OK, no matter what zip I use in this area it does not refresh. Where do we go from here?
John(10:53:30): Please check with some one else and confirm if it is working.
John(10:53:41): As it is an issue with one widget it is a non Verizon issue.
John(10:54:11): Is there anything else that I may help you with?
XXXXXXXXX(10:55:42): So how does this get resolved? Who does this get reported to?
John(10:56:48): AP widget itself.
John(10:57:13): As all the other widgets are working fine, the issue is with the AP widget which might be down due to any maintenance.
John(10:57:28): Please check it after 24 to 48 hours and that can help.
XXXXXXXXX(10:59:48): When I look at the widget it says that the developer is Verizon with a version date of 3/5/2012. So you think that maintenance has been going on since February 22nd? OK, I'll just to take another route to see about getting this resolved. Thank you . . .
Your session is now closed. Thank you, have a nice day.
I agree I reported this on Monday, 3/2/12 Posted Associated Press Widgets Not Working it's been showing February 22nd news since March 1, 2012. You would think they would get this fixed already, It is now Wednesday evening 3/7/12 still not working! For the amount of money we pay you would think they would have the AP News working correctly. Lately Verizon's Fios services have been going down hill in my opinion. I also called customer service they said as long as you are getting TV Service there is nothing they can do to fix the situation. Very Frustrated...
My guess is that they finally decides to look into it and pulled it until it is fixed. Of course an acknowledgement here in the forum would be nice or even a notice in the main widget screen. Oh well I guess time will tell. I certainly got no update from the trouble I put in on it.
