Bars, lines, and sound problems on network channels - 1 hour on hold and still no answer

I'm experiencing picture quality issues that are making my network channels unwatchable. The website is directing me to call Verizon, and 60 minutes later, I'm still listening to hold music. Any ideas out there on how i can fix this problem without spending another whole evening on hold?

Have you checked to make sure coax is tight ? Check connections from ont through splitter to stb.
