I tried the remote and thought it was the batteries. However after changing them, the box still would not power on. I tried the power button directly and still no power. I logged on to find a store location with intentions of exchanging the box.
The virtual chat approached me but could not answer the question. That proved to be a total waste of time. As I read through this forum to see if others were experiencing the same, I came across Justin's post. He suggested unplugging and replugging with a 15 to 20 second wait.
That proved to be the answer. The box reset itself and turned on to the channel last viewed. Thak You to all of you that contribute to this forum. Your shared info, really helps. I tried to give Kudos to Justin, however the system would not allow it therefore I choose to acknowledge him here. Thanks again from a learning 60 yr old.
