I have the Moto QIP7232 with a Western Digital My DVR Expander 500MB. It has worked fine for over a year. This month, the cable box began daily to freeze for a moment, display a message about the external drive being removed, and then reboot. After the reboot, everything including the external drive seems fine. Any ideas why this is happening? Could the eSATA cable be failing? I don't think the drive is bad as it is still silent (no bad noises) and is heavy used (my cable box seems to only use it as I currently have over 400 hours on the external and only 2 hours on the internal drive). I'd just remove it but I don't want to lose all my recordings.
