Caller ID on TV works intermittently

I have FIOS Quadplay. I set up Called ID to be displayed on the TV and it worked. However, it doesn't always show up. E,G,. it has been working for the last three days fine. Yet, this morning, calls to my phone came in and nothing showed up on TV. I did nothing to any of the settings, STB, or router. What's going on?

when I opened a live chat, they said they were having an intermittent outage, and it's been like that for the past month they said.  they did not give me an ETA

 

 

You can try the Caller ID On TV trick to see if it comes back, but if it doesn't, then it may be part of the outage.

 

 

you have to:

 

 

  1. disable alerts (menu>settings>caller id>alert displays=disable)
  2. reboot the set top box (menu>customer support>in home agent>reboot set top box/STB)
  3. enable alerts (menu>settings>caller id>alert displays=enable)
