I've been a FIOS customer for years. I just upgraded my DVR to a 7232. I tried to record a show and a message stated that a channel cannot be recorded and to contact the operator. I've never seen this before with my old DVR. Why the restriction? And where are the restricted channels documented?

AFAIK there are no restricted channels other than those you aren't subscribed to. Did you try to record something ona a channel that wasn't in your package? If that's not the case then I have never heard or seen this message before (and I've had a DVR for nearly 4 years now - but not a 7232).

No, it is Spike TV which I can watch. Odd, when I tried to record it last night and then this morning I was unable. I just tried again and it worked. Maybe it is because I only picked up the box yesterday.
