Can't watch rented movies online...another Verizon ripoff

So I ordered a movie.  Figured I would watch it online while visiting family.  ANOTHER RIPOFF...YOU CAN'T WATCH RENTED MOVIES ONLINE, DESPITE WHAT LIES VERIZON FEEDS YOU.

I keep on getting a message that Silverlight is not installed.  (Of course, it is installed).  So the movie I spent extra money on cannot be watched.  (Yes, it was an online eligible movie).

Anyway....Verizon is horrible, horrible, horrible.  It is a company with no integrity.

about integrity.....this is a link to their code of conduct for employees...it'd be funny if it weren't so sad.....how can we get them to behave as described in their own codebook?

Maybe try another browser?

For some reason they are not picking up the fact you have Silverlight installed.

Or try removing and re-installing it.

Doubtful that it is an intentional effort.

You are the first I have seen (at least in a while) that says they can't watch rented movies online.

Well, uninstalled and reinstalled silverlight.  Still doesn't work.  No big deal...the website works about 1/2 the time anyway.

And it is sort of funny...I can watch movies on demand online...but pay for one, and that all of a sudden changes.  I would call to ask...but I think Verizon is charging me for 800 calls too!

I had uploaded the Firefox browser,

then I pasted this in that browser https://www.verizon.com/Ondemand/Members/Movies/All

, scoll down the page until you see the "FLEX VIEW" click it.....then a new tab opens up for you to see that you need to sign into your verizon ACCOUNT.....Select from your library to view "RENTALS" or "Purchases" then click the movie to watch......

Next at the top of the screen, but located under the bookmarks tabs, a small pop up appears, stating ...Asking you to allow https:// verizon.com to run SilverLight? go the far upper right and click the "ALLOW" key, There is another tab that says "ALLOW NOW" click that as well(maybe a second time), just to see the movie!!

Hopefully this works!!!

I got it to work for me!!!!

I am having the exact same issue and have had it on three different laptops using the latest most updated version of Chrome, Firefox, IE 11, and edge on my one month old Windows 10 machine. I have read numerous other forums where the Silverlight issue is keeping folks from what they are promised in Verizon advertising. This monopolistic corporation has no qualms spending millions to lobby Congress to eliminate net neutrality but can't fix this issue which has been a problem for years.

So I have windows 10 and have tried it using Microsoft edge with no luck, I also have Internet explorer 11. When running internet explorer I originally got the message that microsoft light wasnt installed which it was.  when using internet explorer 11 I was able to go to the top right of screen there is a pulldown menu Saftey with Active x filtering was unchecked, After selecting it and I also for good measure diabled my popup blocker I was able to watch movie with out issue, hope this helps.
