I signed up for fios a year ago with the condition of being able to get my beloved Flyers hockey games... Now I will miss the home opener and 9 other broadcasts cause verizon wont carry TCN(the comcast network) I love the fios plan i have. phone internet and cable. But if it comes down to losing my home teams. Its back to comcast {word filter avoidance}

What we are loosing is only a few games that Comcast Offloads from its Comcast Sports Network to CN8 (TCN). This usually happens at the begining and end of the seasons if one of the other home teams (aka Phillies) is in the Playoffs or there are multiple home games at the same time. This will effect the Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers from time to time.
Comcast does not make their network available to other carriers, so Verizon FIOS can not provide it.
Since it only effects a handfull of games it is hardly worth going back to cable. I use it as a good opportunity to hook up with friends at a Sports Bar to watch the game or to visit a friend who is still stuck with cable.

It started off as a few bri.. last year .. then increased to 10 games this season .. if you go to the TCN site ... they say that its offered to all carriers . what it comes down to is .. if verizon will pay the fee comcast charges to carry it .. like it does for comcast sports net. So yes. Comcast does make their network available to other carriers. Otherwise I never would have switched over and lost game viewage. I only hope that verizon understands the Philly team viewership that it will lose if failing to pick up this channel.
And tho Im so up for escaping the house and catching the game. I just got a big screen plasma and to be missing out on the season opener cuz of this has me seeing red.

And Verizon says it's not. So somebody is lying. Hmmmmmmmmm, who to believe??? Since one of the bigger reasons I switched from Comcast to FiOS was their never ending string of lies, flat out false statements and treating their customers like garbage, I think you can tell who I believe.

Maybe on a long shot it will be available on NHL Center Ice, but probably blacked out in the Philly Area.
But we get a 3 week free view of NHL Center ICE:
