Change STB name in Mobile Remote

Is there a way to change the STB name in Mobile Remote? Currently, they show up as STB1, STB2, STB3 and STB4.

I would like to be able to name them the way I have on the 'My Verizon' page as Living_Room, Den, Bedroom, Basement.

You should be able to rename your Set Top Boxes by doing the following:

1.  Log into your home router

2. Click on the My Network Icon

3. Locate the Set Top Box in the list

4.  To the right of the device listing click the button that says "rename"

I already tried that. I renamed them from STBx to FiOS_Den, FiOS_Bedroom, etc...

When I try to use the Mobile Remote, the STBx name still flashes on the TV.

Perhaps I need to reboot the STB's?

I unplugged all DVR's thinking this would reset the connections to the router. When I powered them back up and tried Mobile Remote, they still displayed the generic STBx names.

I did not reboot the router. I may try that when I get home tonight.

Update - I tried rebooting the router and the DVR's. Still, the same thing happens. The DVR's have been renamed on the router and the verizon web interface. But they still show up as STBx on mobile remote.

Mine does one thing even more annoying

I have 4 STB, and if the power goes off for more than about 5 minutes

When they come up the stb numbers are in some random order

for example  - what was stb1 is now stb 3 or stb 4 is now stb 1

Still haven't been able to figure it out.

Hoping something in the 1.9 release helps.

Try going to the settings menu of your mobile remote and click on import set top box settings. Worked for me.
