When my set top box was upgraded from standard def to HD I can no longer play DVD's or VHS tapes.  What would cause this?

Nothing on the Verizon Side should have caused this as all of the jacks on both boxes are Outputs Only.

How is the VHS and DVR Connected to the TV ?

Did Verizon send out a technician to do the SD to HD Upgrade or did they just send you the replacement box ?
