Connecting wireless headset to either TV or cable box when headset jack no longer functions

My TV set's headset jack no long functions.

I notice that there are audio out (left and right) nipples on the backs of my old TV set, as well as my Verizon cable box.

Query: Is there a device designed to be plugged into the audio nipples with a jack adaptor on its end?  I could then hook up my wireless receiver to transmit audio signals to my Sony headset.  I am profoundly deaf and enjoy being able to listen to the TV other than while being glued to its proximity.

I would appreciate any comments or additional ideas.

Thanks!

Hello Audiohelp,

Yes you can purchase a coupler to plug directly into a set top box red and white audio jacks to a head phone female jack you require.  You can search on the internet for - Audio Adapter - 3.5mm Jack to 2x RCA Plugs and will find several websites you can order one or visit a local brick and mortar store.

It will look like this:

I hope you continue to enjoy your FiOS TV. Let me know if I can help any further.

Thank you
